This was my Mother's dining room BEFORE...
{We weren't to smart and didn't take actual BEFORE pictures, this is the best we could find, just an idea of what it used to look like.}
Just your regular oak table and chairs, some sweet floral curtains, lots of rod iron, and a antiqued bronze chandler... typical.
Nothing great, but everything had a purpose.
A change was in order.
First we had to find something to INSPIRE us.
We knew for a long time we wanted to do this, it just had to be right.
So we waited for it to all come together before we started!
Then this happened...my mom and I just happened to going to town one day and saw a pickup truck with these 6 chairs in the back. I quickly turned around and was on a mission to see is we could buy them! Turned out the man was going to take ALL 6 CHAIRS to the DUMP! WHAT?? We were glad to take them off his hands, and he was glad to get rid of them. Seriously!!
It was probably the greatest day ever!
So, all 6 chairs were FREE...
granted, they all needed work, the pads were disgusting and they wood needed some serious TLC, but nothing that we couldn't tackle!
Our favorite, this beautiful "Shield Chair," we have been looking for one like this forever, and we were about to cry from happiness when we learned she would be ours!! Lovely.
So without Further Ado.....
The REVIEL!!
A new Dinning table and Chairs, new crisp curtains, and a beautiful new light!
We knew the Color Scheme we wanted, White, Cream, Black and Burlap... very neutral and very cozy.
First we had to take the table and strip it down, then we sprayed it white, then more distressing and staining. The chairs had to be stripped as well, then sprayed, then sanded, and finally glazed.
And not to forget the cushions, we found the material at Home Goods and my talented mother did the upholstery job all on her own, no tutorials here! Just a little trial and error, I love the little skirts she gave them... so sweet.
The Great Black Hutch we found from a little store in Rigby called, Traditions, a few years ago. We just filled it with my mother's Milk Glass and White Ceramic Collection, a very simple but beautiful look.
Also this Beautiful Chandelier came from Utah, found also from a man just trying to get rid of things.
It was a steal, and completely finished the room.
Here is a look of the whole room, its right smack dab in the middle of the house, its basically the "walk way," so it really sets the mood for the rest of the home.
We love all the small details,
and a little bling!
Isn't it Lovely?
We think so.
And we are excited to announce that we will be now offering Interior Design Consults.
